Biography

For over a decade, Mr. Galen has helped artists in all aspects of their careers as a seasoned music manager, business executive and music attorney.

During his years working with some of the largest firms in the country, Eric represented many independent and signed artists, producers, writers and labels, including Sony/BMG, Cher, The Eagles and Mariah Carey.

Eric has also advised Internet start-up companies regarding strategy, fundraising, product identity and business development. Eric is a published author and speaker, and was voted a “Rising Star” in Super Lawyers and Los Angeles Magazine (the top 2% of attorneys in California) for the last five years in a row.

Eric earned his B.A. cum laude from UCLA and his J.D. from USC (where he was a published author). Eric is a member of the Recording Academy (RIAA), the American Federation of Musicians and the California Bar Association.

Eric has performed as a musician on several independent and major label projects, won several music awards from Stanford University and has several professional musicians in his family.
